We Should Cocoa: Choco Coffee Cookies

Another food blog event I decided to try out: We Should Cocoa hosted by Chocolate Teapot and Chocolate Log Blog. This month's host, The Kitchen Maid, added one more ingredient to the recipe: coffee. I got this simple recipe from here and I used half of the recipe with a "twist". Adding coffee made it a bit coffey-ish, so I sprinkled some powdered
sugar. But, my 15-month-old twins love it :)

Choco Coffee Cookies
Ingredients:
75 g butter
35 g powdered sugar
1 egg yolk
83 g flour
1/2 tablespoon of cocoa powder
1/2 tablespoon of coffee

Directions:
1. Mix butter and powdered sugar until they become soft. I used hand to mix them.
2. Add egg yolk and keep mixing it.
3. Add flour, cocoa powder and coffee. Mix them together and the dough is ready to form. You can use cookie cutter, too.
4. Pre-heat oven to 160 degree Celcius and bake the cookies for 20--30 minutes.

  2. yes :) but I am not happy with the result. probably, I will try to bake plain cookies, make cookie sandwich and add the choco coffee filling, like oreos :)
